THE CITY Does the American Dream exist?
Jack Wild thinks so, the day he steps off the bus from small-town Arizona into the San Francisco bustle where hip twenty-somethings are making millions off the dot-com boom. The problem is the boom just went bust. So what’s a guy with a business degree and a couple hundred in the bank supposed to do in the city with no friends, no place to live, and no job? That’s Jack’s problem. The City explores the intense, often absurd, and occasionally humorous lives of Jack and his future housemates as they struggle to survive in urban America.
THE VISION In a world inundated with sound bites, political spin and rampant commercialism, engaging content and good storytelling are hard to find. It is my intention with this website to promote reading, creativity and critical thinking. I believe a healthy society is one that considers communication and reflection equal to action in creating a meaningful existence. I hope the varied content on this site suceeds in giving some food for thought to the curious.
